There’s a phrase that seems to appear this time of year: Wise Men Still Seek Him.
I’m adjusting it to say Wise WOMEN too. And it’s true! Having a relationship with God is more than just believing in Him (no matter your gender). It’s about encountering Him again and again and following His plans for us.
I had the pleasure of being contacted by Danielle from Ignite Women about a month ago. Up until that point, I hadn’t heard of this organization, but I’m so glad to be a part of it now!
Ignite Women is a community of women that are there for each other for support, encouragement, and to challenge one in another in faith. There are local Bible studies, if you’re in the Avon or Indianapolis, IN area, or you can join virtually online. And membership is free!
Not only does it have Bible studies, but Ignite Women promotes personal development and growth. There is an assessment you can take to uncover your strengths and weaknesses as well as set up a development plan with goals. (Something I need!)
I was really impressed to see all that Ignite Women has to offer, so I signed up right away, and said YES to being part of their Advent devotionals. I have loved watching these video devotionals from women of all ages and backgrounds. They have opened my eyes to different perspectives on verses that set the scene for Christ’s birth. (Visit here to see all the videos on Facebook.)
Matthew 2:1 & 2
The passage I am speaking on in the following video is from Matthew 2:1-2. It’s only 2 verses, but I love God’s reminders within it. This is where the Wise Men are introduced and begin their search for the new King. For the bigger picture of what happened next, keep reading the rest of the chapter.
At the time of filming, I was operating under the name Anchored Mom Life. Two months later I made the switch to Sincerely Anchored.
